Rock inside rock

While walking across the yard I spotted this unique round stone that reminded me of the buns my mom sometimes baked when we were young. I probably would have added it to my 'food' section of rocks, IF it hadn't rattled!
Its pretty exciting to pick up a rock and shaking it produces a rattling sound.
I just HAD to know what was on the inside! Out came my hammer and this is what I found.

A perfect little round stone fitted inside a geode.

 The reddish color is rust.

Pine Ridge rock.

  1. I have something here which resembles this stone inside a rock. Always been puzzled by it and I'd be interested to know more it. Maybe you could shed some light? Can send pic. DC, Essex, UK
